Professional Experience:
Vida Valkyrie "Dove" Subingsubing is an entrepreneurial leader with over 14 years of experience spanning strategic communications and organizational operations. She is Managing Partner of Evident Integrated Marketing and PR, a Philippine research and communications firm she has helped scale from project-level work into an award-winning, 48-person purpose-driven practice. Her leadership record includes rallying the firm to financial recovery, delivering a mssively positive swing from the prior year's net loss, alongside building the HR, systems, and performance-management infrastructure behind that turnaround, including GEARS-informed people and culture strategies and structured employee feedback systems.
Dove's core strength is pairing operational rigor with strategic communication. She owns P&L, business development, and organizational strategy at Evident, while also directing communication strategy, media relations, and stakeholder engagement for government, multilateral, and donor-funded programs. She has led multi-year, donor-funded initiatives for the Philippine Delegation of the European Union, UNDP, and the OECD, including a media relations campaign that reached an estimated 169 million people monthly across 13 markets.
Her protection and gender-based violence work includes leading a UNFPA-funded initiative researching and strategizing the prevention of gender-based violence in post-conflict Marawi, and directing communications for the ILO/UN Women/IOM Safe and Fair Programme events on ending violence against women migrant workers. In peacebuilding, she coordinated a multi-year government partnership with the Ministry of Basic, Higher, and Technical Education in the Bangsamoro region during its institutional transition, building on earlier work as Research and Communications Officer at International Alert Philippines in conflict-affected contexts.
Dove has built and led teams throughout her career, growing Evident's Advocacy Communications Unit from one person into a ten-strong team and now directly supervising practice leads and project managers across a 48-person organization. She has developed leadership capacity across specialized practice areas rather than centralizing expertise, and regularly serves as an external mentor and facilitator, including for Ayala Foundation's Young Leaders Program, QBO's BOOTQAMP, and AVPN's Jugaad 2.0 Cohort.
Her work has been recognized with multiple industry awards, including a Gold Quill Award (IABC, 2023) for a communication training campaign with the Bangsamoro Ministry of Education, a Stevie Award for Women in Service (2022), two Philippine Quill Top and Excellence Awards (2021), a Gold and Bronze Stevie Award for COVID-19 public communication campaigns (2020), and a Philippine Quill Award of Merit (2019). In 2019, she was also named a "Rising Star" in Campaign Asia's Women Leading Change Awards.
What She's Looking for Next
Having led Evident through its growth, financial turnaround, and eventual acquisition, Dove is deliberately seeking her next role as an individual contributor rather than a senior executive. She has learned that what sustains her is mission clarity and a clean, single line of decision authority, and not seniority for its own sake. She is drawn to roles at the intersection of climate adaptation and the intersectionality of this work across gender-based violence prevention, education, health, peacebuilding and conflict, where she can apply her SBCC expertise, stakeholder engagement, and client relations experience directly, within an organization whose mandate and decision-making structure are unambiguous.
